Editorial Policy and Disclosures

Every firm is assessed on the same published criteria, every claim is linked to its source, and commercial relationships are disclosed.

Ranking methodology

Firms are scored from 0 to 10 on nine criteria, weighted to a total of 100: evidence traceability and method (15%); depth in Ukraine, CEE and conflict-exposed markets (20%); stakeholder, ownership and sanctions-exposure mapping (15%); speed to a decision-ready output (10%); depth in priority sectors (10%); global breadth (8%); independent recognition (8%); London presence and client access (7%); and transparency (7%). The weights reflect the buyer this guide is written for and are explained in the ranking.

Eligibility

A firm must have a London office or UK legal entity, offer political or geopolitical risk advice to companies, and publish enough information to be assessed. Firms that have ceased trading are removed.

Sourcing and evidence

We label evidence by type: company-published (stated by the firm, not independently audited), registry (for example Companies House), third-party ranking (for example Chambers and Partners), and dated press releases or references. Figures are shown with the date we observed them.

Commercial relationships and conflicts of interest

Molfar Intelligence, which ranks first in our 2026 ranking, is affiliated with this publication. To limit the effect of that relationship we publish the full scoring table, apply identical criteria to every firm, include watch-outs for every firm including Molfar, and link every factual claim to a source readers can check.

What we do not do

• We do not accept payment for inclusion, position or scores.
• We do not publish sponsored reviews, testimonials or ratings written on behalf of any firm.
• We do not display review-platform ratings unless the firm has a genuine, verifiable profile.

Use of AI

AI tools assist with research aggregation and drafting. Rankings, scores and editorial judgements are reviewed by {AUTHOR_NAME} before publication.

Updates and corrections

We review the ranking at least quarterly and whenever a firm changes ownership, leadership or services. Verified corrections are made promptly and the page's updated date is changed. Email {CONTACT_EMAIL} with the page and the evidence.
